La Garde Forum on Living Traditions – Beauty, Authenticity, Impact

Dates: 10 – 11 September 2022

The La Garde Association on Living Traditions is a not-for-profit initiative bringing together creators of art and artisanal products from all over the world, and buyers in Europe who value the beauty of authentic products, enjoy the discovery of different cultural traditions and want to make a difference.

Its flagship event is the annual La Garde Forum which takes place normally every September at the Domaine de La Garde in Bourg-en-Bresse, France.  It offers the opportunity to artisans from all over the world to showcase and sell their creations to individual consumers and European specialty buyers.

The La Garde Forum also features world music and food as well as a variety of family-friendly events.  In between the annual Fora, we offer the possibility of selling through, and buying from, our local and online shop.

Our promise

Beauty  Focus on high-quality, authentic and beautiful products that preserve local skills.

Experience – Provide an opportunity for immersion into different cultures, traditions and stories.

Sustainable impact – Contribute to generating a positive impact for creators and their communities that is respectful of the environment.  At least 50% of the sales price of items in the La Garde Collection go the producers and their communities or serve a particular social cause in the country of origin.

Transparency – Tracing every purchase and every product to ensure buyers can get the whole story about each product and its impact.
